You’re someone who wants to show up — and get it right. Whether you’re weeks away from labour or still getting your head around what birth might involve, you deserve more than generic tips and recycled blog advice.
In a maternity system that rarely speaks directly to birth partners, you’re seeking out the kind of support that actually helps.
You need rock-solid skills to be a birth partner: how to keep labour moving with smart positioning, what to say when choices are on the table, how to hold the room steady if plans shift to induction or caesarean, and how to protect recovery time once the baby’s here.
That’s exactly what this course delivers — step-by-step techniques, real-world scenarios and clear decision guides built for birth partners who want to show up ready. No fluff, no awkward role-play, just practical expertise you can put to work from the first contraction to the first weeks at home.
• You’re ready to learn how birth actually works, so you can respond to what’s really happening (not what TV shows taught you)
• You don’t want to be the birth partner pacing awkwardly in the corner, unsure what to do or how to help
• You want to be more than just “a calm presence” — you want to be an active, supportive part of the team
Because being a birth partner isn’t just about the birth — it’s about how you show up, support and prepare from day one.
While your partner is navigating a world of physical symptoms, emotional shifts and unanswered questions, you’re also adjusting — trying to figure out how to help, what matters, and where you fit into it all.
You might be watching from the sidelines, unsure what’s needed… or you might already be in it, advocating, planning, and holding it together while everything feels new. Maybe you've done it before and want to support even deeper this time.
But imagine having a course that shows you what to expect — and how to actually support through it.
Not just for your partner’s sake, but for yours too — so you can feel physically, emotionally and mentally ready for what’s ahead.
A birth partner course that explains how pregnancy really works, what changes to look out for, and what kind of support makes the biggest difference — practically, emotionally and in the moments that matter most.
When you’re supported from the start:
• You don’t feel like you’re guessing
• You know how to meet your partner where they are
• You lay a strong foundation for labour, birth and beyond — together
Because the way you show up throughout pregnancy shapes everything that follows — and this is where it starts.
You want to know what’s happening, what’s needed, and how to be useful — without being in the way.
You’ll be the one passing water bottles, holding steady through contractions, helping her change positions when she’s too tired to think.
You’ll be there when the room fills with staff, or when someone says “we might need to consider an induction,” or when she locks eyes with you mid-contraction and needs to know you’ve got her.
That’s not about guesswork or winging it.
It’s about knowing how birth works, what support looks like at each stage, and how to stay calm and clear even when things don’t go to plan.
It’s also about preparing yourself — mentally, physically and emotionally — so you don’t freeze, fade into the background or fall apart under pressure.
You need real guidance: clear, practical, and built for the role you're stepping into — from early pregnancy through to labour, birth, and beyond.
No waffle. No awkward role play. Just the kind of support that actually works when it counts.
Because your role matters.
And the more prepared you are, the better it feels for both of you.
Support doesn’t start in the delivery room.

You’ll also get strategies for building your own confidence — from movement and breathwork to decision-making and advocacy.
It’s straightforward, evidence-based education designed to help you support well — and show up when it matters most.

Things changed quickly during labour and we ended up needing a caesarean. I was so glad I’d done this course — I knew what the options were, what to ask, and how to stay calm for both of us. I felt like I could actually be there for her when it mattered most.”
.
This helped me get my head around what birth might actually be like — not just the big moments, but all the in-between bits too. I felt ready to help, and she said having me properly involved made a huge difference.”
.
I felt way more useful than I expected to. I knew what to do when she was in pain, how to help her move around, and what to say when we weren’t sure what was happening. I honestly think we both stayed calmer because of it.”
I’ve been an antenatal educator, hypnobirthing instructor and doula since 2014 — and over the years, I’ve supported hundreds of birth partners through every kind of pregnancy and birth.
I created this course because I’ve seen what a difference it makes when partners feel prepared.
Not just present — but involved, steady and genuinely helpful.
I’ve worked with partners who wanted to do more than sit in the corner, unsure what to say or when to step in. Partners who wanted to support with confidence — whether that meant rubbing backs in early labour, asking questions during an induction, or holding eye contact in the middle of a caesarean.
I’ve also seen what happens when partners aren’t given the tools or knowledge, and how that can shape the whole experience for both of you.
This course was made for people like you.
People who care. Who want to get it right. Who are willing to do the groundwork now, so they’re not guessing later.
You’ll learn what to expect, what your partner might need, and how to support — physically, emotionally and practically — at every stage.
And when you’re ready, you’ll be someone they can lean on with real trust.
Because birth isn’t something you just watch happen.
It’s something you show up for — and your role matters.
You can take this birth partner course at any point in pregnancy, but many people find it most useful from the second trimester onwards, so there’s time to absorb everything and practise. If you’re closer to your due date — don’t worry, the course is easy to work through at your own pace.
If you're already booked onto a general antenatal course, this is a great way to go deeper into the birth partner role specifically. Because most antenatal classes skip over that part. This course focuses on your part in the experience — what to expect, how to prepare, and how to support at each stage of labour and birth.
You can do the course solo or watch it together. Each section is broken into short videos and written content, so you can go at your own pace and revisit anything you want to practise or talk about together.
You’ll learn how to support during early labour, active labour, delivery and postnatal recovery. That includes things like comfort measures, movement, breath support, advocacy, decision-making, and staying calm if things don’t go to plan.
Yes — there’s a whole section on caesareans. Although, if you wanted to go deeper then we have our c-section course where you’ll learn what actually happens in theatre, how to support your partner emotionally and physically, and how to make those first hours together feel calmer and more connected.
That’s completely normal — most birth partners feel unsure at first. This course gives you simple, practical steps so you know what to do, when to do it, and how to feel more confident and prepared. There's sections on your wellbeing and preparation too - so you'll feel much more prepared.
Absolutely. This course is inclusive of all families and birth partners — no matter your gender, role, or relationship to the pregnant person. The focus is on practical support and emotional presence, not stereotypes.
A birth partner is someone who supports the pregnant person during labour, birth and the early postnatal period. That support might be physical (like massage or helping with movement), emotional (like staying calm and reassuring), or practical (like asking questions or helping make decisions). This course shows you how to do all of that — properly.
