Because parenting works better when the whole family understands it.
You're not just "the grandparent."
Whether you’ll be changing nappies, popping over for cuddles, or just cheering from a distance — you want to show up in a way that helps.
You’re part of the support system that shapes how this new baby is welcomed into the world.
Whether you're nearby or far away, hands-on or occasionally helping out, you want to understand what parenting looks like today — so you can show up in a way that’s aligned, respectful and actually useful.
• You want to be an involved Grandparent — but never intrusive
• You’re not here to interfere — you’re here to support your child
• You’re open to learning how things have changed in pregnancy, birth and parenting (and why)
• You want to avoid the friction that sometimes comes from outdated pregnancy and parenting advice
Because yes, some things have changed since you went through pregnancy, birth and bringing up a baby.
But the new role you're about to step into matters. Maybe even more than ever.
Modern parenting comes with high expectations, hundreds of guidelines, a big emotional load and external pressures like never before.
That can be overwhelming for everyone — especially if you want to help but aren’t sure what’s wanted, or what’s considered “right” anymore.
Imagine if you could understand the “why” behind today’s birth and baby care decisions — so you can offer support that’s aligned, rather than outdated.
And when everyone’s on the same page?
New parents feel safer.
Grandparents feel valued.
Babies thrive.
And the whole family benefits.
You know what it felt like to bring a baby into the world — whether it was empowering, confusing, unsupported or quietly traumatic.
You know how the way you were treated during pregnancy, birth and early parenting left a lasting imprint.
And that’s exactly why you’re here.
Because you want this generation’s experience to feel better. Lighter. More supported.
You want to understand what’s changed — and why — so you don’t unintentionally pass on outdated assumptions or patterns.
Maybe you’ve never had a chance to unpack your own experience of birth and early parenting.
Maybe no one ever explained how things could have been different.
This course offers a new perspective — not just on what new parents are doing today, but on what might have been missing from your own journey.
And with that insight, you’ll be able to offer support that’s rooted in empathy, not old habits.
Not because you got it wrong — but because now, you have the opportunity to do it differently.
This is about more than guidelines.
It’s about connection, care, and the kind of support that breaks cycles and brings families closer.
Because parenting is easier when everyone’s on the same page.
This course is your opportunity to get up to speed — not just with the latest baby care advice, but with how pregnancy, birth, feeding and parenting work today.
We cover everything from birth physiology to feeding choices, sleep safety, bonding, and babywearing — so you can confidently support your family in a way that feels aligned, respectful and genuinely helpful.
There’s no guilt. No pressure.
Just straight-talking, evidence-based education — designed to help you offer support that today’s parents actually need.
You’ll understand why things have changed, how to adapt your role, and how to build a stronger connection with both your grandchild and their parents.

Most grandparent courses stick to surface-level education. CubCare goes deeper — giving you real insight into how birth, recovery, feeding, sleep, bonding and babywearing work today, and how to support without stepping on toes.
You won’t just be told what’s changed — you’ll understand why it’s changed, and how to turn that knowledge into meaningful, respectful support throughout pregnancy and in parenting.
Jilly is an experienced antenatal and babywearing educator, doula and pregnancy yoga teacher with a decade of supporting families through every kind of parenting journey. Her approach combines evidence, empathy and straight-talking clarity — so you can feel informed, involved, and confident in your role as a modern grandparent.
“Honestly, I wish this had existed for my family when I was having babies. It filled in so many gaps I didn’t know were there. I feel proud knowing I can support my son and his partner in a way that actually helps.”
.
Julie – first-time grandmother
“I didn’t expect it to be emotional, but it really was. It brought up a lot about my own early parenting days, but in a good way. I came away feeling more informed, more included, and more aware of how I can be a support — not a shadow of the past.”
.
Tracey - online Grandparents Course
“I thought I was just signing up to get a few updates — but it went so much deeper. It’s helped me understand my daughter’s choices and feel genuinely connected, not confused or left behind.”
Farah - gifted the Grandparent course
I’ve been an antenatal educator, hypnobirthing instructor and doula since 2014 — but more than that, I’m someone who believes that birth and parenting are better when the whole family feels informed and respected.
I created this course because I’ve seen what a difference it makes when grandparents are equipped with modern, evidence-based knowledge — not just outdated advice or good intentions.
In my own family, I’ve been incredibly lucky. My parents and in-laws were desperate to do the right thing — to support me, without judgment, without pushing their own experiences onto mine. They wanted to help, but they also wanted to get it right. And they were open to learning.
Not everyone has that.
Not every new parent has the emotional energy — or the evidence — to explain why they’re doing things differently. Not every grandparent knows how much has changed, or where to start. That’s where this course comes in.
It’s a way to take the pressure off new parents while giving grandparents the insight and tools they need to feel included, confident and truly helpful.
Because saying “it worked for you” or “that’s how we did it back then” doesn’t always land well — even when it comes from love.
This course is a better way forward. For you, for them, and for the newest little person about to join the family.
No. Whether it’s your first grandchild or your fifth, this course helps you stay up to date and understand what today’s parents need.
Yes — it makes an excellent gift from parents to grandparents. Gifting the course can gently open up conversations and create a shared understanding.
Absolutely. Many parents use slings and baby carriers to support bonding, reduce crying and manage daily life. And many Grandparents want to get involved too! It's a great bonding tool, and a tool that helps making parenting/grandparenting easier. We explain how it works, why it’s used, and what grandparents should know.
Because guidelines have changed. Infant sleep, feeding, birth preparation and mental health are all handled differently now. Maybe you've grown and would parent a different way if you had your time again? This course builds on your experience — it doesn’t replace it.
While based on UK guidelines (NHS, NICE and UK-specific safe sleep), the overall approach is relevant worldwide.
Yes — CubCare is proudly inclusive of all backgrounds, ethnicities, family structures, genders and parenting routes. Our language reflects that.
Yes — this course is for all grandparents, whether you're nearby or supporting from a distance. It helps you understand what new parents are navigating, so you can offer meaningful support (even over a phone call or text), avoid unintentional conflict, and build stronger relationships from the start.
Each course has access for 12 months included. Because we include education from pregnancy through to toddlerhood - so you'll be dipping in and out again and again throughout the year.
