Are you looking for antenatal or baby classes with The Daisy Foundation Welwyn?

Let me explain why you're here...

You will have come across this page whilst looking for Daisy Foundation classes in Welwyn, Hatfield and surrounding areas and may be surprised to have been directed to a different website?

I am Jilly, and I was your local Daisy teacher for Welwyn Hatfield and surrounding areas. I was a Daisy teacher from 2014 until 2023 when unfortunately The Daisy Foundation as a whole ceased trading.

Luckily, all existing Daisy teachers at the time of closing were supported to branch out on their own but still keeping the well known and loved tools, techniques and resources.

So, if you have been recommended a Daisy class and are local to Hertfordshire (particularly Welwyn, Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Knebworth, Potters Bar, St Albans and Wheathampstead) then you can still get the same high quality education and experience just with an independent practitioner.

Who is the person behind Daisy Foundation Welwyn, Knebworth, Potters Bar and Wheathampstead?

I am passionate about supporting your pregnancy and motherhood journey. Having two children of my own aged 11 and 8, I understand the challenges that pregnancy and motherhood can bring.

I am based in Welwyn, Hertfordshire and grew up in a small village near Potters Bar. I am a local parent and really understand the needs of the local community.

I found Daisy when my eldest was just a few weeks old and attended Tinies Baby Massage classes and I then moved on to Wrigglers and then Cruisers. I knew that these classes were special and so when I was made redundant from my advertising and marketing job in London I decided to train to teach these alongside the pregnancy classes.

I had also had a traumatic birth with my son and believed that if I was able to learn techniques to help with any further births, whilst also helping others then I was on to a winner.

I joined The Daisy Foundation just as it was transitioning from Lazy Daisy and going through a complete overhaul and improvement. I had been teaching for approximately 18 months when I had my daughter and I can honestly say that the tools and techniques were transformative.

In 2021 I decided to add additional training to my experience and am now a qualified babywearing consultant and postnatal doula.

What do I offer with CubCare?

With the sad closure of The Daisy Foundation and Daisy Foundation Welwyn I am now able to expand my business with the needs of the local community.

Everybody deserves a strong support network, “a village” and I work hard in both antenatal and baby classes to connect people. To help strike up those conversations. Everybody has a different journey, but when we come together to share experiences it really does make everything easier.

Our classes aren’t just about helping you “make friends”. While this forms an important part of our support we are equally passionate about education and empowerment. I help you find the confidence to make the right choices for you and your family. The techniques we provide really do help in all situations; from our breathing and relaxation techniques in Active Birth classes to our calming and bonding techniques in Baby classes.

Each class or workshop that I run is packed full of education, hints, tips and support.

Classes are non-judgemental, everybody is welcome.

Why prepare for birth

Educating yourself for birth and recovery is the most important thing you can do in pregnancy. Have a plan, because "going with the flow" can be a dangerous idea.

What is Active Birth?

What is Active Birth and does it make a difference to birth? As mammals, we should be mobile and move during birth. Science tells us it's useful for everyone.

"Our little lady arrived on Sunday evening and we couldn’t be happier! I stayed home until the contractions were intense and close together, my waters broke in the car. I felt the urge to push in the car park and 45 min later she was in my arms!! The breathing techniques were amazing and all I needed. Thank you Jilly for giving me the confidence to have the best birthing experience possible."
